I love the splash of teal they used in the built in. I don't have built in - but I have a buffet piece of sorts my grandfather built. It's stained a dark walnut and I was thinking of painting it white to match the lower portion of the wall - and then paint the interior in a bright color (teal actually!). Bonus point... it has a shelf and a built in accent light! :)
